Requirements
- Advanced Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management/Hospitality Management or related Additional Post-tertiary qualifications preferred
- Previous Cluster General Management experience preferred, otherwise 8 years General Management experience, Essential. (High End, Luxury Establishments)
- International experience highly beneficial
- Good financial acumen (English)
- Excellent people skills
- Well experienced in all aspects of the lodge operation: HR, Finance (Budgeting/Forecasting), F&B, FOH, Guest Interaction, Project management, Maintenance, Housekeeping etc.
- Preference will be given to SA Citizens
Description (Summary)
- Provide leadership in the development and delivery of the Lodge’s hospitality operations
- Development of SOP in line with operational and customer service requirements
- Product activities developed and implemented effectively in line with brand
- Development and implementation of retail plan across lodges
- Track retail consumption and provide feedback there-in
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure marketing initiatives are successfully implemented
- Management of Lodge Managers, Executive Housekeeper, Executive Head Chef, Head Guide
- Mentor Hospitality Operations Manager
- Actively be involved in any FAM trips and critically evaluate Hospitality and make recommendations therein.
- Responsible for recruitment of senior lodge staff as per requirements
- Develop and communicate standard operating procedures
- Dealing with contractors and suppliers
- Property repairs, maintenance and security
- Maintain quality standards across the business (look at the full guest experience)
- Implementing new procedures for improved guest serves
- Provide leadership in the development and delivery of the Lodge’s hospitality operations
- Positively represent the lodge and its services throughout the local community
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, occupational health and safety, permits, accreditation and other statutory regulations
