About the role:
IIX is currently in search of a proficient Video Editor to assume a pivotal role in our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to conceive and meticulously edit video content centered around The Defiant Optimist (https://defiantoptimist.com/), tailored for dissemination across our social media platforms. This role demands a seasoned professional who can elegantly translate conceptualizations into polished visual narratives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Editing full videos (speeches, interviews, etc.) and audio files (podcasts) into bite-sized video snippets for social media
- Creating fully original content independently or collaboratively with IIX staff.
- Ensure that the videos are optimized for different social media platforms - in particular Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and the IIX Website.
- For editing audio files/podcasts, you will have to create a visual storyboard for the videos.
- For editing video files, you will have to select key moment(s) that capture the essence of the exchange or a memorable quote. - IIX will provide all raw video and audio files, and additional stock/original images if required.
