  • 28 hrs per fortnight, includes fortnightly Saturdays plus the option of additional 14 hrs per fortnight.
  • Salary: $70k - $74k + Super (pro-rata)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Merri-bek Libraries. This is a permanent part-time role working across various library locations.

The Library Officer role is responsible for providing high quality customer service and targeted library and information services to our diverse community. In performing this role, you will also assist with library initiatives to bridge the digital divide and assist with children’s and youth programs.

Skills and experience required to perform this role

  • Good teamwork skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellence in service provision to all sections of the community
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Ability to assist in program delivery
  • Good digital literacy skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of Child safety and wellbeing requirements and how this applies in the library setting
