The Employee Relations Intmd is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
- Tracks and reports HR related ethics concerns raised through the hotline, interfacing with the Ethics Office and regional partners to ensure timely and thorough investigation and appropriate resolution of all issues, including application of the standards outlined in the Global Disciplinary Review policy.
- Participates in a range of initiatives and exams involving the governance of investigations and complaint management.
- Participates in investigations as needed, essentially on:
- Assists in the preparation of investigation plans.
- Gathers and analyzes data relevant to an investigation, which may include emails, compensation, performance management, diversity, and staffing information.
- Participates in and takes notes during investigative interviews with employees.
- Assists with final investigative summary report writing.
- Works with the Employment Law team in the investigation of and response to agency charges and litigation.
- Partners with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, Citi Security and Investigative Services and Audit on investigations of employee misconduct.
- Responds to workplace concerns on behalf of senior management.
- Works closely with and assists Employee Relations team members responsible for organizing and facilitating Team meetings.
- Assist with coordination and facilitation of weekly retaliation report review sessions (Pre-AROG), tracking of retaliation report reviews and providing related support as needed.
- Assists with the coordination of local and global Disciplinary Committees and with the completion and uploading of related Summary Conclusion Forms.
- Assists in the design, development and/or delivery of training initiatives for ER Team.
- May participate in project work as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years relevant experience
- Advance proficiency English – Spanish required.
- Experience in investigation support or related work
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data base entry skills a must
- Proven work ethic and ability to self-start
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment and discretion with respect to handling sensitive/highly confidential information
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
