Area Europe is a Business Unit of Doka managing 25+ Country Organizations and making up a significant part of the global turnover of Doka.
The Head of Human Resources Europe is accountable for all people & culture related matters across the BU Area Europe with more than 3,000 employees across 25+ Country Organizations. We are seeking an experienced HR professional with outstanding people skills to ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives for Area Europe.
In this role you are reporting to the Executive Vice President Europe and working in close cooperation with the 3 Regional Directors, Area Europe Functional teams, the local Managing Directors and particularly with the local HR colleagues across European Doka countries. Additionally you are an integral part of the Global HR Management Team of Doka & Umdasch Group.
Key responsibilities are the following but not limited to:
- To drive the strategic HR Agenda (Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding, People & Leadership Development, HR Process Optimization) for Europe aligned with overall Area business objectives and global HR strategy
- To further promote and steer the Umdasch Group culture transformation for Area Europe
- To act as professional Sparring Partner / Consultant for the Area and local Country Management teams
- To disciplinary lead & further develop the respective HR Business Partners
- To be the Bi-directional linkage between the Global HR Network <-> Country Organizations
- To provide operative support when required in all HR transactional related matters (Recruiting, Labor Law issues, Management Bonus handling, HR Reporting, etc.)
- Regular travelling required
- Higher Education in HR Management, Psychology, Business Administration or similar
- Several years of relevant HR management experience or similar (e.g. senior HR Business Partner)
- Disciplinary leadership and international experience welcomed
- Hands-on professional HR admin experience
- Profound knowledge of HR labor law standards
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English; German highly welcomed
- Passion to learn and drive to succeed
- Highest integrity and work ethic standards

- You may take advantage of remote work or alternatively use our shared offices in Linz or Vienna on a daily basis in addition to your workplace in Amstetten

- For this position, a salary in line with the market is offered, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience. We are legally obliged to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 42,558.88 according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry).
