Job Description: Part-Time Social Science Tutor
Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Part-Time Social Science Tutor to join our team. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students in various social science subjects. You will assist students in understanding and applying concepts, developing critical thinking skills, and improving their overall academic performance. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, suitable for individuals with expertise in social science and a desire to make a positive impact on students' education.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students, focusing on social science subjects such as history, sociology, psychology, political science, and anthropology.
Assess students' individual needs and develop personalized tutoring plans to address their academic challenges and goals.
Provide explanations, examples, and demonstrations to help students understand complex social science concepts and theories.
Assist students in developing effective study skills, note-taking techniques, and critical thinking abilities relevant to social science subjects.
Review students' assignments, projects, and papers, providing constructive feedback to enhance their writing and research skills.
Help students prepare for tests, quizzes, and exams by reviewing relevant materials, practicing sample questions, and offering test-taking strategies.
Encourage active student participation and engagement through discussions, debates, and interactive learning activities.
Monitor students' progress and track their academic performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
Stay updated with current social science curriculum, teaching methodologies, and educational resources to deliver high-quality tutoring services.
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including student attendance, progress reports, and feedback for parents or guardians.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant social science discipline (e.g., history, sociology, psychology, political science, anthropology) or a closely related field. A higher degree is preferred.
Strong knowledge and expertise in various social science subjects, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in social science subjects, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education, helping students succeed, and promoting a love for social sciences.
Prefer Physical Class and Online.

Salary: RM40.00 - RM70.00 per hour
